I'm a builder at heart. There's something I've always found satisfying about taking raw materials and turning them into something finished, functional, and built to last. Woodworking lets me do that every day.

I design and build custom furniture, catios, and outdoor living spaces from my shop in Ames, Iowa. I work primarily with solid hardwoods and metal, and I'm involved in every project from the first conversation through final installation. That keeps decisions tight and the details consistent all the way through.

Some projects start with a clear vision. Others start with a rough idea or a practical problem that needs solving. Either way, I take the time to understand how you live, how the piece will be used, and what matters most before anything gets built.

Before focusing full-time on woodworking, I spent years leading teams in fast-growing software companies. That background shapes how I work with clients today, with clear communication, good questions, and a process that doesn't feel like a guessing game.

The goal is always the same: build something that fits your space, holds up over time, and is worth paying attention to.
